Recently pick up a book on Buddhist Philosophy, the word Buddha means Enlighten One, and it teaches us about Suffering in Life and how to moderate our lives so as to be at peace with oneself and the world, to achieve freedom from the suffering. I am not an extreme religious person, but I believe in philosophy and in using anything that makes sense to be practiced in daily life. Myself am closer to a Daoist. I enjoy both some Buddhist and Christian viewpoints to points of them helping in clearing and bringing meanings that many can easily appreciate. Also reading up other religions fairly randomly. Studying religions can be fun but I find preaching them and staunch practicing unsettling. I prefer to talk of matters as universal healing without the religious connotations. It needs the freedom and light-heartedness as oppose to strictness and of right and wrong ways.
